Archimake

Explore Award

Architecture, STEM Learning Beyond the School Curriculum

A nationally recognised qualification completed alongside Archimake’s STEM Architecture Workshops — offering children access to alternative education, expert-led co-making, and future-ready skills not taught in schools.

Our programme is rooted in co-making: children design, test, build and reflect alongside trained architecture tutors, supported by structured guidance developed by architects, engineers and education academics. This approach values children as thinkers and makers, not just learners following instructions.

Built Environment Learning Beyond the School Curriculum

What Children Gain

1

Spatial Thinking

Hands-on architecture and design activities support the development of spatial intelligence — the ability to understand and reason about space — a key foundation for STEM learning and problem-solving.

2

Confidence

By making, discussing and reflecting on their ideas, children build confidence in communication and learn to express their thinking clearly in a supportive environment.

3

Teamwork & Leadership

Collaborative design tasks encourage children to work together, take initiative and share responsibility, developing early leadership and teamwork skills.

4

Awareness of the Built Environment

Children gain a stronger understanding of how buildings and cities work, building spatial awareness and a more thoughtful relationship with the environments they inhabit.

Reviews...

Discover how our children have transformed their language skills and embraced success through our architecture and STEAM education programs

"I have just attended the project review for the end of my child’s first term. It was really helpful and insightful getting the guest speakers feedback and expertise on my child’s work especially the model making. Overall the topic of kiosks has been an interesting and engaging one for my child and she has learnt a lot." - Shaana, parent

"Archimake is brilliant! Both my children enjoy the lessons, which they attend in person at the weekends in their own time. They learn things they wouldn’t normally encounter in a traditional school environment. The course is centred around architecture but also helps develop a general awareness of their surroundings, which is extremely valuable. It’s run by professionals currently working in architecture. I would highly recommend it!" - Nemisa, parent

"This was my children's 4th term with Archimake. I can see them developing their drawing and model-making skills, being able to articulate their design ideas and always considering sustainability in every design. The classes are interactive and fun. The final review day was excellent with fantastic industry professionals who gave considered feedback, encouragement and inspiration. The presentation video is always a great review of their learning and pieces everything together across the journey of the term.

We would recommend Archimake to anyone with a child who is creative, curious about architecture, design and the environmental impact of our built environment." - Pamela, parent

Testimonials from Leaders in Architecture & Education

"I was just really impressed when I saw the presentations and I thought all the children did really well. To embed that in their understanding at such an early age is really important and will be of great benefit to them in their future lives, whatever profession they go in to in the end."
